The Finger Lakes SPCA of Central New York (fomrerly known as the Cayuga County SPCA) was formed in 1896. Over the years it has
served Cayuga County and its communities by finding homes for homeless animals.
In 1998 the shelter became a 'No Kill' SPCA and no longer euthanized for space. The only circumstances requiring euthanasia is
an animal that is sick and injured beyond our means or an aggressive animal.
