Internet Explorer 4.0 Setup Wizard Click on Start - Programs - Internet Explorer - Connection Wizard Click Next on the opening screen Choose the middle option, setting up a New Connection on This Computer, then Click Next Choose Connect Using My Phone Line, then Click Next Enter the Dialup Number that is Local to you to connect      Auburn:       612-5800 or 237-3500      Syracuse:    579-5800 or 233-3500      Click Next Click Next Enter your username@bci.net and Password, then Click Next Choose Yes to change the advanced settings, then Click Next Choose PPP (Point to Point), then Click Next Choose I don’t need to type anything when logging on, then Click Next Choose My ISP automatically assigns me an IP address, then Click Next Choose Always use the following DNS Server Address         DNS Server:                         209.2.141.2         Alternate DNS Server:          205.232.46.2         Click Next Enter BCI for the connection name, then Click Next Choose Yes on Do you want to set up an Internet Mail Account now, then Click Next Enter Your name for the Display name, then Click Next Enter your email address (username@bci.net ), then Click Next Email Server Names         My Incoming mail server is a:      POP3         Incoming mail server:                 mail.bci.net         Outgoing mail server:                 mail.bci.net         Click Next Choose log on using: POP Account Name : Your username@bci.net  Password : Your Password Click Next Choose whatever you would like for the Friendly Name, then Click Next Choose Yes on Do you want to set up an Internet News Account Now, then Click Next Enter Your name for the Display Name, then Click Next Enter your email address (username@bci.net ), then Click Next News (NNTP) Server name : news.bci.net - Do Not check the box for My News server requires me to log on, then Click Next Choose whatever you would like for the Friendly Name, then Click Next Choose No on Do you want to setup an Internet Directory Service Account, then Click Next Click Finish on Complete Configuration. To Send Mail: 1. Double Click  Outlook Express 2. Click on New Mail button in the top left corner. Fill out the address, subject, and message 3. Click on the Send button in the top left corner to send the message To Check your Mail: 1. Make sure your folder is on the Inbox 2. If it isn’t, click the Inbox in the column to the left 3. Click on the Send and Receive Button. To Setup your Home Page: 1. Double Click on: My Computer-Control Panel- Internet Options 2. On the General Tab Under Home Page type in: http://www.bci.net or any other home page you would like 3.
